Strawberry Banana Milkshake Ingredients

  • frozen or fresh Ripe Strawberries, halved (approx. 3/4 cup)
  • 1/2 Banana (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Vanilla or Strawberry Ice Cream or Frozen Yogurt
  • 1/2 tablespoon Sugar

How to Make Strawberry Banana Milkshake

I used a blender to make strawberry banana milkshakes. First, measure the milk and pour it into the blender.

Then, cut the tops off the strawberries and halve them.Peel the banana and slice it. Add the halved strawberries and sliced bananas to the blender.

Since I made it as a dessert, I added ice cream instead of vanilla.Blend until smooth.

Tips

  • Choose ripe strawberries and bananas for the sweetest, most flavorful milkshake. Overripe bananas, in particular, add natural sweetness and make the texture even creamier.
  • For a colder, more refreshing drink without watering it down with ice, use chilled milk and frozen fruit. You can also freeze your banana slices and strawberries ahead of time.
  • For a thicker milkshake, use less milk and more frozen fruit or ice cream. If you prefer a thinner, drinkable consistency, just add a little extra milk while blending.
  • Blend the milkshake long enough to make sure everything is fully combined and silky smooth. Start blending at a lower speed and then increase to high for the creamiest result.
  • Depending on your fruit’s natural sweetness, you might not even need extra sugar. Always taste after blending and adjust by adding a little sugar, honey, or more banana if needed.
  • Top your milkshake with whipped cream, a sprinkle of crushed nuts, a few fresh berries, or even a drizzle of chocolate syrup to make it extra special and beautiful.
  • Strawberry banana milkshakes taste best when they’re freshly blended. Serve right away while it’s at the perfect creamy and cold consistency.

Variations

Peanut Butter Banana:
Add a spoonful of peanut butter to the blender for a rich flavor that pairs perfectly with the banana.

Tropical Breeze:
Throw in a few chunks of pineapple or mango for a tropical twist on the classic strawberry banana combo.

Green Smoothie Boost:
Add a handful of baby spinach to sneak in some greens. You’ll still taste the strawberries and banana, but get a nutrition boost.

Protein Power:
Add a scoop of vanilla or unflavored protein powder to make it a more filling, post-workout drink.

Berry Blend:
Mix in a few raspberries, blueberries, or blackberries for a mixed berry milkshake.
