Potato Stroganoff

Potato Stroganoff is a comforting dish made with ground beef, sour cream, beef broth, potatoes, and onions. It’s a yummy meal with a delicious taste, a bit of sourness from the sour cream, and a rich flavor from the beef broth. The potatoes add a starchy, slightly sweet flavor, while the onions provide a mild, slightly sweet taste. It’s often served with toppings like sour cream, green onions, or herbs to make it even more delicious.

Potato Stroganoff Ingredients

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

How I Made Potato Stroganoff

First, I peeled and thinly sliced 3 medium potatoes to ensure even cooking.

Then, I browned 1 lb of ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat to develop rich savory flavor.

Once the beef was cooked, I added 1/2 a diced onion and cooked until transparent. This added mild sweetness.

After that, I sprinkled in 2 tablespoons flour, 2 teaspoons garlic powder, salt and pepper. I stirred constantly to evenly coat the beef mixture.

When blended, I incorporated 1 cup of sour cream and continued stirring well. This contributed a tangy creaminess.

Following that, I poured in 3 cups of beef broth and let it simmer until thickened. The broth enriched everything.

Finally, I put in the potato slices and simmered until tender. Their starch thickened the sauce beautifully.

To finish, I served piping hot portions of best potato stroganoff with toppings like sour cream and green onions for extra appeal. The layers of flavor stunned me with each comforting bite!
