Ingredients

  • 2 boxes strawberry cake mix
  • 2 cups butter melted
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 8 eggs
  • 4 small packages banana pudding mix
  • 8 cups milk
  • 2 8 oz containers whipped topping
  • Strawberries for topping
  • Bananas for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Lightly coat a 9x13 inch baking pan with non-stick spray to prevent the cake from sticking.
  • In a large bowl, mix together:
  • 1 box of strawberry cake mix
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 4 eggs
  • Blend until the ingredients are well combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the cake is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven.
  • Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the hot cake. This will allow the pudding to seep into the cake later.
  • In a bowl, combine:
  • 2 small packages of banana pudding mix
  • 4 cups milk
  • Whisk until the mixture is smooth.
  • Once the cake has cooled slightly, slowly pour the banana pudding mixture over the cake.
  • Make sure the pudding seeps into the holes and coats the cake evenly.
  • Cover the pan and refrigerate for a few hours to let the flavors blend and the pudding set.
  • Before serving, spread a layer of whipped topping over the set pudding layer.
  • Decoratively arrange sliced strawberries and bananas on top of the whipped topping.
  • Slice and enjoy your delicious Strawberry Banana Poke Cake!
