Simple Tomato Sandwich

Ingredients
  

  • 2 large ripe tomatoes sliced
  • 4 slices bread
  • ½–1 cup mozzarella cheese sliced or shredded
  • 1–2 tbsp butter or mayonnaise
  • Fresh basil leaves optional
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Slice tomatoes and lightly sprinkle with salt.
  • Spread butter or mayonnaise on bread slices.
  • Layer tomatoes and mozzarella on one slice.
  • Add basil, pepper, and close the sandwich.
  • Toast on a pan until golden (optional).
  • Slice and serve immediately.
