Ingredients
  

  • cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup finely chopped kale stems removed
  • cups buttermilk
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter softened or melted
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Mix flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  • Stir in chopped kale, then add buttermilk and butter.
  • Mix gently to form a soft dough and shape into a round loaf.
  • Score a cross on top and place on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden and hollow-sounding.
