- 12 oz Cream cheese
- 3/4 cup Butter softened
- 12 ounces Craft beer
- 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
- 1/2 clove Garlic:

First, melt the butter in a pan over medium heat. This begins the process of creating a roux.
Next, add the flour to the pan and stir continuously to combine it with the butter. This results in a light roux.
Cook the roux for around 10 minutes, stirring constantly, until it darkens slightly. This step develops flavors in the roux.
Then, add three tablespoons of flour to thicken the roux even more. Whisking forms a paste and the roux starts to brown.
Pour in the beer while stirring to combine. Add the chili powder and salt as well for seasoning.
Allow the mixture to thicken for about five minutes with continuous stirring.
Once thickened, mix in the cream cheese until fully blended into the sauce.
Gradually stir in the shredded cheese a small amount at a time. Keep stirring until it melts into a rich cheese sauce.
