Chocolate Chip Cookies
Chocolate chip cookies are my favorite, and not only mine—my siblings and my niece love them too. The recipe is very simple. You need just a few basic ingredients, and one of the best things about this recipe is that it’s perfect for busy people who don’t want to spend much time in the kitchen or put in a lot of effort.

- 1 cup salted butter softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips 14 oz
Set your oven to preheat at 375°F. Prepare three baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper, then set them aside.
In a medium bowl blend the butter and sugar until smooth. To ensure the butter is ready, take it out of the fridge at least two hours before baking to soften. Add the egg, whisking until well blended, then mix in the vanilla extract.
Pour this mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients and stir with a large spoon or rubber spatula.
Next, add the chocolate chips and mix until they are evenly dispersed throughout the dough.
Use a cookie scoop or a tablespoon measuring spoon to portion out the dough. For medium or large cookies, use around 2 heaping tablespoons of dough. Roll each portion into a ball, shaping it so that it’s taller rather than wide, resembling a cylinder.
Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 8-10 minutes.
